Alice Mary Amps (1875 – 6 October 1881)

Alice was the eldest daughter of John and Julia Amps.  John was a master draper with a business at 53 Sidney Street.   He and Julia had four children: Henry Frederick (1874-1929), Alice Mary, Edward John (1878 – 1934) and Nellie Ethel.

Alice died aged 6 years old at home at 53 Sidney Street.

Nellie Ethel Amps (1883 – 11 March 1895)

Nellie was the youngest daughter of John and Julia Amps.  She died just short of her 12th birthday at home at 53 Sidney Street.

Amps Family

Both of the Amps boys followed in their fathers footsteps and became drapers.  The business expanded to also include 54 Sidney Street.  John Amps died in January 1933 aged 85 years old.  His wife Julia died in 1941 aged 90 years old.  She outlived her husband and her four children.
