In Loving Memory of LEAH McCOWAN ATTWOOD
Who passed away January 6th 1896
Aged 29 years

Leah McCowan Attwood (née Stonebridge) (1866 – 1896)

Leah was the daughter of William and Mary Ann Stonebridge. She was baptised at St Clement’s Church on Christmas Day 1866 and brought up in Thompson’s Lane.

She became a schoolteacher.  She married Samuel Attwood on August 31st 1893.  Samuel was brought up in St Clement’s Passage (now Portugal Place) and worked at St John’s College. Leah lived in Alpha Road but died at Richmond Terrace, Thompson’s Lane.
