Monument

This headstone in the parish area of Holy Trinity is intact, although leaning to one side.  It is located fifteen rows from the central path, towards the centre of the parish area.

William Williamson Austin (1802 – 3 July 1886)

He was born in Cambridge and married Mary Dean Biggs on 1 November 1827. They lived at 105 King Street and William worked as a  master painter/glazier. They had at least three daughters: Lucina Frances (1829-1904), Mary (1831-1902) and Elizabeth Dean (1837-1894). After he was widowed lived at the Wrays Alms Houses, King Street  where he died aged 84 years old. William was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 7 July 1886.

Mary Dean Austin (née Biggs) (1805 – 13 October 1870)

Mary died at King Street ‘after a long and painful illness’.
