This small stone, in the parish of St Michael, with a well preserved carved inscription is located in the second row along the path that leads east from the centre circle and 4 rows to the south.
In Loving Memory of STANLEY CLARENCE PARKINSON died Oct 1st 1908 aged 15 years

Mary Elizabeth Parkinson (c.1857 – 10 March 1943)
Mary was born in Sutton, near Ely and was the daughter of John and Eliza Nunn. She was baptised in Sutton on 19th April 1957. Her father John was a railway porter. By 1871 she was 15 years old and working in service as an ‘under nurse’ to the Turner family on Corn Exchange Street. In 1881 she was a general servant to Wine and Spirit merchant Frederick Rowe and his family at 27 Trinity Street.
She married John Parker in 1883 when she was 26 years old. John was a bootmaker and later cellarman. They had five children together: Kathleen Avis [1884-1909], Ethel Ann [1886-1894], Lionel Desmond [1886-1973], Phyllis Jessie [1891-1935] and Stanley Clarence [1893-1908].
In 1891 the family were living at 4 Newmarket Road, In 1901/1911 they are recorded at 5 Gifford Place. Gifford Place was later known as Blue Boar Court, and ran just off Trinity Street. Although John was a bootmaker in 1891, but 1911 he was ‘cellarman in a wine department’.
John and Mary appear to have moved to the Victoria Friendly Societies Institution on Victoria Road at some point. These are still alms houses and more can be read here. John died there in June 1929, and Mary was left a widow aged 72 years old. She died at Victoria Road in 1943.
Stanley Clarence Parkinson (1893 – 1 October 1908)
Stanley was the youngest son of John and Mary Parkinson. He grew up at 5 Gifford Place, and died aged 15 years old.
Kathleen Avis Parkinson (1884 – 7 September 1909)
Kathleen was the eldest child of John and Mary. She grew up at 4 Newmarket Road , and by the age of 17 years old  was a kitchenmaid to the Finch family and living at 1 St Peter’s Terrace. She died aged 25 years old.
