Located to the south of the east west path, close to the centre circle. The monument has been restored at some point. Most of the lettering is intact.

Rita Mabel Jane Balmer  (née Doggett) (c 1869 – 1925)

Rita was the forename given in the burial record and grave register. She was born in Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire.

Rita married Harry Stephenson Balmer, in the registration district of Lewisham, in 1894. Harry worked for the railway. Rita died at 6 Regent Terrace aged 56. Harry died in Harrow in 1969 aged 96.

Naomi Balmer (née Doggett) (c 1877 -1959)

Naomi was born in Waterbeach. She was the daughter of William (a groom) and Emma Doggett. In 1891 she was working as a general servant in the Cook household in Malcolm Street, Cambridge. She married Harry S. Balmer in 1927 in Cambridge. She was  living at 1 St Andrew’s Street when she died aged 82. She was cremated and her ashes buried here.
