William Gordon Barker (1924 – 9 June 1928)

William died at 1 David Street and was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 14 June 1928.

Ada Matilda Barker (née Greenwood)  (26 August 1888 – 12 November 1968)

Ada was born in Sydenham and was the daughter of William and Matilda. Her father was a gas lamp lighter, her mother a dressmaker and she grew up at 4 Kent House Lane, Sydenham. Ada worked as a barmaid before her marriage to Arthur Barker on 8 June 1912 in Saffron Walden. Arthur worked as a domestic gardener and later as a lorry driver.  They had at least three children: Norman Reuben (1913-1990), Mildred (1920-2010) and William Gordon. Son Norman was born in Saffron Walden, but they had moved to Cambridge by the time daughter Mildred was born.  They lived at David Street, and then 187 Mill Road (1939). Ada died aged 80 years old.

Arthur Barker (15 August 1888 – 24 October 1978)

Arthur was born in Saffron Walden and  baptised there on 3 October 1888.  He was the son of general labourer John Barker and Emma (née Woodley). He died in Stansted, Essex aged 90 years old.
