Jessie Matilda Barton (nee Haslop) (c.1869-1902)

Jessie was the daughter of John and Matilda Haslop and grew up at 4 Silver Street where her father was a butcher.  She married Peterborough-born butcher John Thomas Barton (1867-1958) in 1896 and the couple lived at 53 Trumpington Street, Cambridge. They had one son, Ralph, who died as an infant. At the time of her death aged 33, Jessie was still at that address. She was buried on 12 December 1902.

John Barton continued to live at 53 Trumpington Street until at least 1911, but then moved to Truro , Cornwall (1939). He died in Truro at the age of 91.
