Sidney John Beger (c.1879 – 26 July 1931)

Sidney was the son of hairdresser Alfred Beger and his wife Martha. He was born in Cambridge and in  1891 was living at 93 Russell Street and was an apprentice hairdresser to his father.  He was still living at home with his parents 10 years later, and was a hairdresser. He married Flo Spencer in 1901 when he was 21 years old.

Sidney and Flo had at least three children: Charles Alfred Hamilton [1902-1967], Gwendoline Florence [1904-1967] and Ivy Gladys [1908-].

By 1911 he was living at 93 Russell Street with Flo and their three children.  In 1925 he was on the electoral roll living at 25 Hills Road.  He died aged 52 years old in 1931.

Flo Edith Hannay Beger  [nee Spencer] (c.1879 – 20 November 1935)

Flo was the daughter of Charles and Sarah Spencer.  Her father was a plumber and she grew up at 19 Burleigh Street [1881], 189 East Road [1891] and then 23 Staffordshire Street [1901].  In 1901 she was working as an upholsteress.

She was widowed in 1931 and continued to live at 25 Hills Road.  She died there in 1935 aged just 56 years old.
