Bertie Archibald Blinkhorn Harris (1886–1917), Private (325563) in the 1st Battalion the Cambridgeshire Regiment, formerly Private (21886) in the Cambridgeshire Regiment, was killed in action on the Western front on 4 September 1917. His death is recorded in the Voormezeele Enclosures No. 1 and No. 2, in Belgium (Flanders). He was commemorated on the war memorial at All Saints, Cambridge, as well as on this family grave.

His brother, Gilbert Neville Harris, had been killed in action two years earlier. Both brothers were commemorated on the war memorial in St Mary the Great, Cambridge.

Bertie was born on 14 January 1886 in Cambridge. He was the seventh of twelve children born to Thomas William Harris and Harriotte Harris (née Vinsen). Bertie became a cabinet maker. He married Eleanor Annie Benstead in 1909 in Cambridge. They had two children: Bernard Albert Blinkhorn (1910–86) and Marjorie Clara (1913–2001). The family lived at 76 Maids Causeway, Cambridge.

Bertie enlisted at Cambridge as Private (21886) in the Cambridgeshire Regiment before becoming Private (325563) in the 1st Battalion the Cambridgeshire Regiment. He was killed in action on the Western Front on 4 September 1917. His widow remarried four years later. The family remained in Cambridge.
