We were unable to photograph this set of kerb stones as they are in an area of dense undergrowth in the north west corner of the Cemetery. Six rows from the west wall and five rows north of the path.

Kate and Isabella were daughters of Elias and Isabella Bland.and Elias Bland Elias and his second wife, Elizabeth   are buried one grave to the west.

Kate Thorp (née Bland) (10 October 1860 – 9 June 1923)

Kate was the daughter of Elias and Isabella and was baptised at All Saint’s Church on 4 November 1860.  Her father was a draper and she was brought up at Bridge Street.  Aged 20 she was still living at home with her widowed father. She married William Edward Fenwick Thorp (1866-1935) at St John the Baptist Church, Devizes on 14 July 1889.  Edward, as he was known, was a chartered accountant and they lived in Devizes. The couple did not have any children.   Kate died in Cambridge aged 62 years.

Edward Thorp married for a second time in 1924 to Miriam Allen Carraher (1888-1959). The couple lived in Westminster, London and Edward died there in 1935 aged 69 years.

Isabella Bland (22 February 1857 – 27 November 1933)

Isabella was the second daughter of Elias and Isabella Bland.  She lived at 1 Bridge Street and then 1 Jesus Lane with her parents, and later with her step mother Elizabeth. She never married and is not documented as having an occupation on any of the census returns.  She died at 1 Jesus Lane aged 76 years old.
