Anna Maria Butcher (née Oakford) (1855 – 14 February 1894)
Anna was the daughter of Thomas and Harriett Oakford and was born in Fakenham where her father was the village brazier. Age 15 she was working as a domestic servant for builder William Hubbard at 15 High Street, East Dereham. She married Abraham Butcher (1860-1940) in Fakenham on 2 June 1884. Abraham was a carpenter/builder and the couple settled in Cambridge where they had two daughters: Edith Mary (1885-1946) and Marjorie Winifred (1888-1942). In 1891 the family were living at 124 Gwydir Street and Anna died there in Februry 1894 aged 38 years old.
Samuel Frederick Butcher (1900 – 2 March 1901)
Samuel was the son of Abraham and his second wife Ellen Elizabeth (1863-1942). Ellen was Anna’s younger sister and had also been born in Fakenham. The couple married in 1896 in Cambridge. Samuel died aged 10 months old at 124 Gwydir Street.
