Also of his wife ELIZA ANNIE CHAPMAN died May 1st 1946 aged 90 years

William Rignall Chapman (1855 – 26 March 1933)

William was born in Hoxton, London and was the son of William and Mary Chapman.  By 1861 the family had moved to Cambridge and were living at 41 Northampton Street where William Chapman Snr was working as a ‘college servant’, they were wealthy enough to employ their own house servant.  By the aged of 16 years old William Rignall was still living with his parents, this time at 38 Merton Place and was working as a butcher.

He married Eliza Annie around 1882 and the lived at 37 Park Street, and later at 45 Bridge Street. He worked as a master butcher, and although he and Eliza had one child they died in childhood.  He died aged 78 years old in 1933.

Eliza Annie Chapman (18 July 1855 – 1 May 1946)

Little is known about Eliza Annie.  She was born in Cambridgshire, and married William Rignall.  After she was widowed in 1933 she moved to 95 Ainsworth Street, Cambridge and died there aged 90 years old.
