The monument in January 2020.

Monument Hidden under a large tree west of the central path and behind the headstone of the grandparents AS156. The cross has broken and the plinth barely visible as branches have grown over it.  Only part of the inscription. is still visible and the parish burial records have been used to complete it.

In Loving Memory of ARTHUR CHARLES SCOTT the beloved child of FRANCIS and CAROLINE CHERRY d Sept 25 1885

Also PERCIVAL FRANK eldest child of FRANCIS and CAROLINE CHERRY d  March ? 1892

Arthur Charles Scott Cherry (1880 – 25 September 1885)

Arthur was the son of Frank and Caroline CherryHe was baptised at at St Andrew’s church Chesterton and died at the family home on Victoria Road aged 5 years and 9 months.

Percival Frank Cherry ( 1872/3 – 1892)

Percival was the eldest child of Frank and Caroline he was born at the family home on Chesterton Road and baptised at St Andrew’s church Chesterton on January 26th 1873. At the time his father was working as a solicitors clerk. By 1891 the family had moved to Union Terrace and Percival was working as a printer compositor. He died at the family home in Union Terrace aged 19.
