Alfred John Coxall (1856 – 22 August 1921)

Alfred was the son of William and Mary Ann and was baptised on 16 November 1856.   William Coxall died when Alfred was young and he grew up with his widowed mother and two sibings at 5 Pike’s Walk. Mary worked as a needlewoman and aged 14 Alfred was working as an errand boy. He married Hannah Bell in Ely in 1880 and they lived with his mother at Pike’s Walk (1881) by which time Alfred was a journeyman bookseller. The couple later moved to 18 Park Parade, and Alfred was documented as a booksellers clerk (1901). They also rented out rooms in their house and Alfred died at home aged 64 years.

Hannah Eliza Coxall (née Bell)  (1858 – 31 August 1924)

Hannay was the daughter of agricultural labourer William and Betsy Bell and was born and raised in Littleport. She was still documented as living at 18 Park Parade in 1924 and is believed to have died in Northampton.
