Alfred Ernest Crisp (6 November 1906 – 29 December  1939)

Alfred was the son of George and Kate Crisp and worked as a warehouseman and motor mechanic for Laurie Maconnal, Ironmongers (1939). Alfred died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital aged 33 years old and his funeral was held at the Mill Road Baptist Chapel on 2 January 1940.

Catharine (Kate)  Jane Crisp (née Coe) (25 July 1879 – 15 July 1946)

Kate was born in Cherry Hinton and was the daughter of Charles and Emily (née Gilby). Her father worked as a platelayer on the railway and her mother was a laundress. She married George Ernest Crisp (1877-1961) in 1899 and they lived at 59 Great Eastern Street (1901), 124 Sedgwick Street (1911) and then Belgrave Road. George worked for Great Eastern Railway and the couple had at least two children: Ivy Mary (1904-1999) and Alfred. By 1939 George Crisp was working as a railway driver, and the couple were living with their two children at Belgrave Road. Kate died in Fulbourn aged 66 years old.
