Who died 15 December 1867 aged 44 years

Caroline Groote (née Parker) (c.1823 – 15 December 1867)

Caroline was the daughter of William and Ann Parker.  Her father was a carriage builder and she grew up on Regent Terrace (1841) and then at 43 St. Andrew’s Street (1851).  She married William Edward Delaforce Groote (1822-1911) at Holy Trinity Church, Paddington on 1 March 1858.  William was born in Prussia and had anglicised his name by the time he married.

In 1861 the couple were living with Caroline’s mother Ann at 37 Hills Road and William was managing the Parker family’s carriage business at  St. Andrew’s Street.  Caroline died at 37 Hills Road aged 44 years old.

William married for a second time in 1880 to Annie Maria Harris.  He moved to live in London and died there aged 88 years old.
