George Davey (16 January 1819 – 17 February 1907)
George was born in Marylebone and baptised on 14 February 1819. He was the son of butcher John Rose Davey and his wife Sarah and was working as a servant when he married Caroline Gearing on 31 July 1855 at St. George’s Church, Hanover Square.
The couple moved to live at 62 Park Street, Cambridge and George worked as a college servant and lodging house keeper. They had three children: Charles Henry (1857-1940), Alice (1859-1918) and Albert George (1861-1919). George died at Park Street aged 88 years old
Caroline Davey (née Gearing) (c.1819 – 11 March 1916)
Caroline was born in West Stow, just outside Bury St. Edmunds and baptised there on 28 February 1819. She was the daughter of publican Joseph and his wife Alice (née Blizzard). Aged 32 Alice was living at Lamer Park in Wheathamstead where she was ladies maid to Honora Garrard. She married George Davey when she was 36 years old and died at Park Street aged 97 years old.
Alice Davey (13 April 1859 – 29 January 1918)
Alice was the only daughter of George and Caroline and lived at 62 Park Street her entire life. She ran a lodging house from the house and died there aged 58 years old.
