The monument, which is well preserved but hidden in bushes, is within the kerb stones of the grave of Susan Crame

John was the son of John and Charlotte Day
Louisa Day (née Watts) (1862 – 1934)

Louisa was the daughter of James, a wheelwright, and Ann Watts. She was born in Stow cum Quy, a village to the east of Cambridge. Her marriage to William Day took place at the village church on December 22nd 1882. The couple moved to 18 Perowne Street, Cambridge where they raised their family Sidney (b 1886), Leonard (b 1891), Archie (b 1895) and Dorothy (b 1896).
Later they moved to 26 Emery Street,Cambridge, where Louisa and William died.
William Seymour Day (1854-1940)

William was the first child of John and Charlotte Day and elder brother of Bertha. At the age of 17 he had begun work at the Cambridge University Press, possibly as an apprentice to his own father.
