William Henry Edwards (25 January 1795 – 29 March 1857)

William was the son of Henry and Elizabeth (née Woollard) and married Ann Brown on 9 September 1824 in Godmanchester.  The couple are known to have lived in Norwich,  before moving to Cambridge to live with Ann’s cousin  William Hanchett Hattersley in Trinity Street. William died there ‘after a long affliction, borne with great patience’ aged 62 years old.

Ann Edwards (née Brown)  (1802 – 11 January 1885)

Ann was born in Godmanchester and baptised on 1 October 1802. She was the daughter of John and Mary Brown and after being widowed acted as housekeeper for her cousin William Hattersley.  William retired to live at Camden House, overlooking Parker’s Piece and Ann died there aged 82 years old.
