Walter Harry Fordham (9 December 1875 – 11 January 1948)

Walter was the son of William Henry Fordham (1831-1906) and Emma. William was a painter/grainer (specialist painter) and Walter grew up at the Glaziers Arms pub on King Street, which his father also ran. Walter worked as a plumber/painter and in 1901 was lodging with widow Mary Pryke at 56 Victoria Road. He married Susannah Smith in 1906 and the couple lived at 51 Ainsworth Street (1911), 3 Victoria Street (1912-1914) and 21 Holland Street (at least 1919 onwards). He died at home aged 72 years old and his funeral took place on 15 January 1948.

Susannah Fordham  (née Smith) (7 December 1880 – 2 December 1969)

Susannah was born in Bartlow, Essex and is believed to have been the daughter of John and Ann Smith. John was an agricultural labourer and  in 1901 Susannah was working as a cook for the King family at 4 Brooklands Avenue, Cambridge.
