Fuller kerb stones February 2018


These kerb stones, in the parish area of St Andrew the Less, are located to the left of the Norfolk Street gate as you enter the cemetery from the north, about three metres from the wall. The inscription is on the south kerb and although still legible it is usually  covered by grass.


William Reynolds Fuller who died Jan. 14th 1951

William Reynolds Fuller (23 May 1877 – 1951)

William was the son of Henry and Elizabeth Fuller. Henry, a paper hanger died when William was a baby. His mother went to work as a charwoman (cleaner) and Henry was brought up in Fitzroy Street and 16 Albert Street. By the age of 14 he was working at a printers. 

He married Jane Morley at St Matthews Church on September 21st 1904 when he was 27 years old and working as a warehouseman. In 1911 they were living at 7 Milford Street and had no children. They continued to live there for many years. The 1939 census shows that William had become a printer overseer.

Jane is probably buried here but we have not found an inscription.
