Clarissa (Clara)  Garner (née Smith) (29 April 1883 – 15 April 1943)

Clara was the daughter of Robert and Phoebe Smith and was born in Lakenheath, Suffolk. Her father was a farmer and aged 17 Clara was living and working at the Granby Hotel in Littleport.  She married Harry Garner in 1903 and they had two children: Frederick Cyril (1904-1988) and Arthur Leslie (1906-1995). Harry worked for Great Eastern Railway and they lived in King’s Lynn for a time where both their children were born before moving to live at 26 Catharine Street (1911-1926) and then Worcester, 125 Coleridge Road (1927 onwards). Clara died at home aged 59 years old.

Frederick Harry (Harry)  Garner (24 July 1878 – 9 April  1951)

Harry was the son of George and Mary Ann and brother of Sidney. His father worked as a railway inspector and Harry grew up at 59 Kingston Street (1881) and Cavendish Road (1891). In 1901 Harry was lodging in Watlington, Norfolk and working as a railway shunter before marrying Clara in 1903. By 1919 he had been made yard foreman for G.E.R and died at the Chesterton Infirmary aged 72 years old.
