Emily Sarah Genn [nee Styles] (22 March 1851 – 4 May 1933)
Emily was the daughter of William and Sarah Styles. She was born in Cambridge and appears on the 1851 census aged 8 days old. She was baptised on 20 July 1851 at All Saints Church. The family lived on Jesus Lane, and William was a coal merchant. Aged 20  she was living with her widowed mother at 36 Russell Street and working as a milliner.
She married William Henry Genn in Richmond, Surrey on 18th April 1876. Her residence at this time was stated as Richmond. William was a landscape artist, and they lived at 6 Holland Street, Victoria Road. They had one daughter Violet Birdie [1884-1962].
William died on Christmas Day 1891 and Emily was left a widow at 40 years old. She became a Lodging House Keeper at 10 Tennis Court Road [1901/1911], where she lived with Violet. She was living at 259 Victoria Road by 1930 and died there in 1933.
