Harriette Gray [nee Hodgson] (c.1828 – 1 January 1877)
Harriette was the daughter of James and Marianne Hodgson. She was born in Cambridge, and baptised on 12th October 1828. She married Henry Samuel Gray at All Saints Church in Cambridge on 25th July 1850. Harriette and Henry had at least five children: Augusta Hodgson, Harry, Alice [1860-], John James, and Ethel Matilda [1866-1923].
Henry Gray was a painter and decorator. In 1861 the family were living at 2 Downing Street, and Henry was employing 2 men. In 1871 they were living at 66 St Andrew Street, and by this time Henry was employing 13 men and 1 boy. Harriette died in early 1877 aged 48 years old.
Harry Gray (1858 – 1879)
Harry was the eldest son of Harriette and Henry Gray. He was baptised at All Saints Church on 12th September 1858. He died in November 1879 aged 21 years old.
John James Gray (1863 – 28 January 1870)
John James was was baptised at St Andrew the Great Church on 19th July 1863. He died aged 7 years old in January 1870.
Augusta Hodgson Gray (1856 – 16 March 1872)
Augusta was the eldest child of Harriette and Henry Gray. she was baptised at All Saints Church on 15th June 1856. She died at home at 66 St Andrew Street aged 16 years old.
