In Memory of THOMAS HALL d August 6 1858 aged 62

ELIZABETH THOMAS HALL aged [85]

Thomas Hall (c.1796 – 6 August 1858)

Thomas was born in Chatteris, and married Elizabeth Harman on 18th April 1822 at St Sepulchre Church in Cambridge.  They had at least two sons:  Henry Thomas [1824-1894] and Tom [1832-1878].

Thomas owned a livery stable on Bridge Street.  He died at Bridge Street aged 62 years old. His death was reported in the Cambridge Independent Press on 7th August 1858  with the words ‘after a very severe affliction, borne with great patience. He was for many years a livery stable keeper in this town’.

Elizabeth Thomas Hall [nee Harman] (c.1796 – c.1881)

Elizabeth was born in Cambridge. She was widowed aged 62 years old, and appears to have lived with her son Henry Thomas and his wife Eliza at 1 Maid’s Causeway thereafter.  She was living there in 1861 and 1871.  She died when she was 85 years old around 1881.
