Jessie Eliza Hunt (née Green) (1871 – 23 April 1940)

Jessie was born at 77 New Street and was the daughter of Thomas and Jane Green.  Thomas was a labourer and by 1881 the family were living at 59 Ainsworth Street.  She married Arthur Hunt in 1894 and they had at least ten children: Arthur Herbert (1894-1927), Sidney Thomas (1895-1964), Harold George (1899-1971), Dorothy May (1901-1901), Jessie Grace (1901-1902), Elsie M (1903-1911), Evelyn Florence Jane (1907-1982), Maurice Harry (1910-1988) and two further children who died as infants.  Arthur was a cabinet maker and they lived on Beche Road (1891 to at least 1911).  Later they moved to 15 Riverside (from at least 1920 onwards).  Jessie died aged 69 years old.

Arthur John Hunt (1874- 30 March 1952)

Arthur was the son of Stephen and Mary Hunt. His father also worked as a cabinet maker and he grew up at 37 Eden Street (1881).  By the age of 16 Arthur was living with his family at 2 Gold Street and was an apprentice cabinet maker.  He married aged 19 years old and after he was widowed continued to live at 15 Riverside.  He is documented as having died at 5 Windsor Road.
