Daniel Ingrey (1828 – 16 August 1885)
Daniel was born in Wimpole and was baptised there on 13 February 1829. He was the son of Barnard and Hannah (née Vaughan) and in 1841 the Ingrey family (mother, father and five children) were living at the Caxton Workhouse. Daniel married Mary Ann Pratt in 1847 and they had at least four children: Alfred (1851-1881), Hannah (1855-1889), Frederick (1856-1888) and Emily (1858-). Daniel worked as a cloth cap maker and later as a tailor and the family lived at 38 Burleigh Street (at least 1861-1881). He died at 5 Brandon Place and his funeral was held on 20 August 1885.
Mary Ann Ingrey (née Pratt) (1827 – 21 April 1888)
Mary was born in Cambridge. She died at 175 Gwydir Street aged 61 years and was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 26 April.
Mary and Daniel’s son Alfred Ingrey died at Burleigh Street aged 30 years old and was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 29 December 1881. His grave has not been found.
Frederick Ingrey (1856 – 15 May 1888)
In 1871 Frederick was documented on the census as being an unemployed errand boy. He married Lauraine Elizabeth Freestone (1853-1938) in 1879 and the couple lived at 24 Broad Street (1881). Frederick worked as a hawker and died at Gwydir Street. His funeral took place on 19 May.
His widow married Lewis Huntlea (1854-1919) in 1897.
