Monument Broken cross next to plinth which bears the inscription I. W .W. 1896 Roughly 6 rows from the central path in the southern section of the parish.
The grave register & parish register were used to establish that this is the monument for
Isabella was buried on 9th November 1896 aged 30. It is likely that she was the Isabella Mary Emma Soper who married William Warburton Wingate in 1895 and died on 6th November 1896. The address in the parish burial records and the death announcement in the Saffron Walden Weekly (13th November 1896) was 60 St Andrew’s St. Isabella had given birth to a daughter on October 29th & the birth was announced in the London Morning Post on November 2nd.
William had received a ML degree from Jesus College in 1894.
The daughter was named Isabel Wilhelmina W
