The headstone, now broken, lies roughly ten rows west of the centre circle in the northern section of the parish.  We were unable to see the inscription.. According to a descendant who visited the grave many years ago there was a small stone – possibly a foot stone with the name of her grandson Edmund inscribed. The grave register shows that he was buried her.

Elizabeth Lincoln (c 1767-1861)

Elizabeth Lincoln

Elizabeth was born in Pulham, Norfolk and married Edmund Lincoln on 11th October 1795 at Thorp-next-Norwich. 

Edmund may have died in 1836 as by 1841 she was living with her daughter Sarah and son in law George Kett In St Mary in the Marsh, Norwich. She came with them to Cambridge.

She died at 40 Hills Road and was buried on July 6th.

Edmund Lincoln Kett (1867 – 1867)

Edmund was the great grandson of Elizabeth Lincoln. He was born to her grandson, woodcarver, Edmund Kett and his wife Elizabeth Eliza née Cook who moved to Stapleford sometime after 1871 and are buried there, in St Andrew’s churchyard. 

Edmund died aged 8 days when the family were living at 32 Panton St.
