Eliza Kettle (née Arnold) (21 January 1830 – 26 August 1868)
Eliza was the daughter of gardener William and Ann Arnold, and grew up at 28 East Road. By the age of 20 she was working as a dressmaker and married Samuel Kettle in 1855. The couple had at least three children: Samuel Henry (1856-1894), David Arthur (1858-1859), Arthur James (1860-1905). Samuel was the cook at Trinity College and the family lived at 31 East Road (1861). Eliza died aged 38 years.

Henry Kettle (1857 – 15 April 1860)
Henry was the son of Henry and Jane (née Wilson) Kettle. He was born in Bingham and baptised there on 3 January 1858. He died in Cambridge aged 2 years old.
Mary Ann Kettle (née Flowers) (c.1846 – 27 July 1880)
Little is known of Mary’s life. She married Samuel Kettle at Christs Church on 29 April 1869 and he was by then the cook at Jesus College. She died aged 34 years old.
