John Knott (c.1836 – 27 October 1861)

John was the son of Thomas and Jane Knott. His father was a publican and milkman, and the family lived on St Andrew’s Street. In 1851 he was 15 years old and working as an errand boy. He later became a butcher and in 1861 was living at 55 Andover Street in London.  His sister Susan, was living with him and acting as a housekeeper. He died at his father’s home at 60 Hills Road Cambridge, aged 25 years old.

Susan Knott (c.1833 – 25 March 1864)

Susan was John’s sister.  She died at 60 Hills Road after what the newspapers declared ‘a long, lingering illness. Her end was peace’. She was 30 years old.
