Located south of the south path midway between the central path and the east path. This monument was restored by the family in 2019 when John’s ashes were interred here. It now reads.

Percy Edward Leader (17 October 1896 – 15 March 1978)

Percy was born in Eton, Berkshire, the son of William John Leader (1862-1913) and Mary Ann (née Gallyon) (1857-1948). His father was a watch/jewellery worker and he grew up in Leighton Buzzard and aged 14 was working as an errand boy for a confectioners. Percy married Elsie Phillips in 1927 in Cambridge and they had four children: Edward Percy (1929-2004), John Richard (1930-2017) and two daughters:  AM (1936-) and DM (1937-). In 1939 the family were living at 52 Burleigh Street (next door to his aunt Mary, who is also buried in this grave) and Percy was working as a watch and clock repairer. They later moved to 87 Hurst Park Avenue and he died aged 81 years old.

John Richard Leader (1930 – 23 December  2017)

John was the second son of Percy and Elsie Leader.

Elsie May Leader (née Phillips) (28 October 1899 – 10 January 1969)

Elsie was the daughter of Richard (1868-) and Mary Ann (née Murrell)(1870-1905) , and was born in Chesterton. Richard was a painter/decorator and she grew up at 5 Church Street (1901). Elsie died aged 69 years old.

Mary Susan Caroline Leader (12 July 1867 – 26 April 1941)

Mary was the daughter of Jabez and Mary (née Fordham) Leader and aunt of Percy Leader. She grew up at 3 City Road (1871) and then 53 Burleigh Street (at least 1881 onwards).  Her father Jabez (1827-1902) was a tailor and her mother Mary (1830-1901)  a college laundress. Mary helped her mother in the laundry business  and then took over the business after her mother died. In 1939 she was still living at 53 Burleigh Street and was recorded as a retired college laundress. She died at home and her funeral took place on 30 April.
