Leonard Arthur Wright (1898–1917) was Rifleman (S/20542) in the 9th (Service) Battalion, Rifle Brigade (The Prince Consort’s Own), formerly Private (34437) in the Suffolk Regiment. He fell in action in France on 23 October 1917.

His brother, William James Wright, died in France two weeks earlier.

Leonard was born in 1898 in Cambridge. He was one of five children born to William Henry Wright and Jessie Ellen Wright (née Wright). Leonard enlisted at Cambridge as Private (34437) in the Suffolk Regiment before being transferred as Rifleman (S/20542) in the 9th (Service) Battalion, Rifle Brigade (The Prince Consort’s Own). He was killed in action on 23 October 1917 two weeks after his elder brother, William. He was entitled to the Victory medal and the British War medal.
