Ann Deborah Marshall (1836-1912)

Ann was born in Naseby, Northamptonshire and was the daughter of Rev. William Marshall (1764-1847) and his wife Elizabeth (née Coell) . She was privately baptised by her father on 17 March at the church in Naseby where he was Vicar.  William Marshall died in 1847, but was originally from Cambridge and it is believed Ann and her mother then moved back to Cambridge.  Elizabeth Marshall died in Cambridge in 1848 leaving her an orphan at 12 years old.

She worked for Jane Warwicker for over thirty years at Jane’s hosiery shop located at 32 Trinity St.  Ann was a needlewoman and by 1891 was companion to Jane. After Jane’s death in 1893 she moved to live at 40 Bateman Street and died there aged 75 years old.
