This set of small kerbs lie 1 row to the west of the west path just as the path curves behind the lodge. The metal letters are still intact but the kerbstones are mostly hidden by grass. The sexton called this small row the “baby row” as there are several children buried in this area.

Dorothy Rosemary Hilda Marshall (10 November 1921 – 18 February 1924)

Dorothy was the daughter of Stanley Louis Marshall (1895-1974)  and his wife  Dorothy (née Hiner) (1900-1948).  The couple married at St Paul’s church  in June  1920 and Dorothy was their first child, she was born in Gothic St, her mother’s family home. Stanley worked a plate layer for the railway . By 1939 they had moved to live in Liphook in Hampshire and it is believed that they had at least one other child.
