Mary Ann Nunn (née Clarke) (1850 –  17 June 1907)

Mary was born in Histon and is believed to have been the daughter of labourer William and Elizabeth. She married Jonathan Nunn in 1885 and they had at least five children: Thomas William (1886-1942), Florence Ann (1888-1970), Sidney James (1890-1987), Louise Elizabeth (1892-) and Frank (1895-1960). Jonathan worked as a life insurance agent and the family lived at 37 Coronation Street (at least 1891 to 1902) and  then 10 Petersfield (1903 onwards).  Mary died at home and her funeral took place on 20 June 1907.

Jonathan Nunn (1855 – 7 May 1943)

Jonathan was born in Cottenham and baptised there on 6 January 1856. He was the son of Thomas (1813-1857) and Elizabeth (née Lawrence) . His father was an agricultural labourer who died when Jonathan was a small child which left his mother a pauper, living at the Parish House, Cottenham (1861). Aged 16 he was working as a groom for the village doctor – Dr Benjamin Charles Pinchard, and was living on the High Street. In 1881 he was lodging at Garibaldi Terrace, Cottenham with the Thurlborn family and working as an agricultural labourer. After he was widowed he continue to live at Petersfield until at least 1933, before moving to 30 Humberstone Road (at least 1938 onwards). He died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 11 May.
