Arthur Parker (1875 – 27 June 1937)
Arthur was born in the village of Rampton – six miles north of Cambridge. He was the son of Ashby and Alice Parker and was baptised in Rampton on 20 June 1875. Ashby Parker was an agricultural worker, and by the age of 16 Arthur was also working as a labourer. He married Kate Easy in 1897 and the couple had three children: Leonard (1899-1947), Cyril Ashby (1903-1956) and Olive Marjorie (1906-).
The family lived at 57 Catharine Street (1901) and then 20 Catharine Street (1911) and Arthur worked as a carman (delivery driver) and later as a foreman for a corn merchant (1911). He died aged 62 years old.
Kate Elizabeth Parker (née Easy) (6 October 1870 – 1 January 1955)
Kate was born in Cottenham and was the daughter of Simeon and Mary Easy. Her father worked as an agricultural labourer and later as a gardener. After she was widowed she lived with her daughter Olive at 69 Hemingford Road (1939). Olive had been widowed in January 1936 and was working as a laundry forewoman in 1939. Kate died aged 84 years old and her death was registered in Downham Market, Norfolk.
