The headstone stands midway between the central path and the west path towards the south of the parish of All saints and directly in line with the corner of the north wall. The inscription has eroded but is still legible.

Rev. Robert Pratt (20 May 1836 – 21 April 1915)

Robert was the son of Charles and Elizabeth and was baptised at St. Clement’s Church on 12 June 1836.  His father was a tailor and he grew up on King Street (1841) and then Malcolm Street (1851/1861).  Robert went to the Perse School and then up to St. John’s College in 1858. He was awarded a B.A. in 1862 and an M.A. in 1870. He was ordained and served as curate of Sandbach 1862-1866 where he was also assistant master at Sandbach Grammar School.  He was then curate of Hemingford Grey (1866-1869) and curate of Christ Church, Deptford (1869-1883).  He was the Vicar of Christ Church from 1883-1912 and lodged at 47 Florence Road in New Cross, London.  In 1897 his salary was £280 per annum.  By  1915 he had retired and was living at 20 Hubert Grove in Stockwell and died at St. Peter’s Hospital in Covent Garden.
