PTE. S. HUTCHINSON. – The news has reached Mr. and Mrs. Hutchinson, 2, Kingston-street, Mill-road, of the death in action of their only son, Pte. Sidney Hutchinson, of the Lancashire Fusiliers.  One of Pte. Hutchinson’s chums, writing to the parents, says: “I am very sorry to have to inform you of the death of your dear son, Sid, who I regret to state was killed in action on September 28th.  We had just gone over, when he was killed instantaneously by a German shell.  I share my deepest sympathy with all of you in your sad bereavement.  I found him a very nice companion, very upright in everything and a good soldier.  He will be greatly missed by all.”  Pte. Hutchinson, who was formerly employed by Mr. G. Holt, of Trumpington-street, joined up in July, 1917, and went to France last Easter.
