Alfred Edward Smith (c.1870 – 11 June 1932)

Alfred was born in Cambridge and married Charlotte Goodson in King’s Lynn in 1896.  They had one daughter Violet Louisa Annie [1898-1982].  They lived at 8 Belgrave Road, and Alfred worked as a commission agent for the Prudential.  He died at Belgrave Road aged 62 years old.

Charlotte Rebecca Kezia Smith [nee Goodson] (3 February 1872 – 6 July 1958)

Charlotte was born in King’s Lynn and was the only child of John and Elizabeth Goodson.  She grew up at 4 Regent Street in Kings Lynn.  Her father worked as a dockyard labourer and her mother as a dressmaker. After being widowed she continued to live at 8 Belgrave Road until at least 1935, but by 1939 was living with daughter Violet and her family at 62 Radegund Road.   She was still living at Radegund Road in 1945, and died in 1958.
