Hibbitt & Sons is a long-standing firm of Cambridge stonemasons, founded in 1890. The firm was initially located at the private residence 24 Alpha Road (off Chesterton Road) and later at 126 Victoria Road, where it continues to this day. Originally trading solely in monumental masonry, the company expanded in the early 20th century into stonemasonry for buildings, including houses, churches and colleges.
The following graves in Mill Road Cemetery are known to have been built by Hibbitt (the numbers given here are those assigned in the transcriptions by the Cambridgeshire Family History Society):
