Arthur William Street (1857-1881)

Arthur was the son of the Rev Arthur Joseph and Margaret Street. He was born in Kempley in Gloucestershire on 5 November 1857, where his father was a clergyman. He was baptised in Kempley on 6th January 1858. He went to school in Durham, and went up to Cambridge in 1877. He got his BA in 1881, but died in College of smallpox on 7 May 1881.

He was a Rustat scholar, which was one of a number of scholarships awarded to the sons of Church of England clergymen. It was a scholarship enabled by the endowment of Tobias Rustat, Yeoman of the Robes to Charles II.
