This well preserved headstone is located seven rows from the eastern path.  The inscription is on the west face and is very clear but the stone has sunk to one side.

Inscription

‘Sacred to the Memory of WILLIAM WATTS
departed this life Jan 26 1851 aged 56 years.

ALICE WATTS relict of above who died Feb. 20. 1874 aged 76.’

William Watts (d 1851)

It has  not been possible to find any information about William, except that he lived at Bridge Street.  His grave monument reads he died aged 56 years, the parish burial records show an age of 53 years and newspaper announcements of his death read 23 years.

Alice Watts (c.1798 – 20 February 1874) 

Alice was living in the Parish of St. Andrew the Great when she died aged 75 years old.
