Emily Westwood [nee Mickel]  (5 February 1881 – 31 July 1941)

Emily was the daughter of William and Emma Mickell.  She was born in Cambridge and was raised at 89 King Street where her father was a painter and her mother a charwoman.  Aged 20 years old she was working as a servant in a home at 9 Vinery Road.  She married Henry Thomas Woodwood in 1902 when she was 21 years old.

They had at least 7 children together Thomas George [1902-1969], Violet Alice Mabel [1907-1981], William John [1907-], Constance [1909-1980], Annie Elizabeth [1911-1972], Arthur Edward [1914-1915] and Leslie [1919-1971]. They lived at 36 Albert Street, and on the 1939 census Emily is named as incapacitated.  She died in 1941 aged 60 years old.

 

Henry Thomas Westwood (7 March 1879 – 11 October 1947)

Henry was born in Cambridge and worked as a bricklayer.  During the war he appears to have been signed up as a labourer, but had complications of bronchitis. He worked later as a builders labourer.   He died a few years after his wife Emily aged 68 years old.

 

Arthur Edward Westwood (2 May 1914 – February 1915)

Arthur was the son of Henry and Emily Westwood.  He died aged 9 months.
