In Loving Memory of EMMA E WILSON
passed away 26 May 1944 aged 68 years
Emma Elizabeth Wilson (11 January 1875 – 26 May 1944)
Emma was the daughter of William and Mary Ann (née Jasper) Wilson. Her father died when she was a year old, so she was brought up by her single mother. They lived at 33 Norwich Street where Mary ran a lodging house. Emma was an apprentice dressmaker (1891) eventually working from home as a dressmaker. Mary Wilson died in 1909, and in 1911 Emma was living at 86 Norwich Street with her cousin Florence Nightingale and lodger Bertram Palmer. She was still at 86 Norwich Street in 1939, and died aged 69 years old.
