Monument

This headstone with rounded top, in Ketton limestone, in the parish area of St Edward, is located five rows west of the central path, 30 yards north of the centre circle.

Inscription

Sacred to the memory of
Jane the beloved wife of William Wright
who died October 18 1862 aged 31 years

Also of Ada Mary
infant daughter of William and Jane Elizabeth Wright
born November 15 1867 died February 25 1868

And of William Wright husband of the above
who died August 6th 1877 in his 61st year

Relationships
William and Jane were husband and wife, Jane dying at an early age. Ada Mary was the daughter of William by another wife, Jane Elizabeth (not buried here).

Jane Wright (c.1831‒62)

Jane died on 18 October 1862 at the early age of 30 or 31, and was buried on the 23rd of that month in Mill Road Cemetery, in row XXIX of the St Edward parish area, in grave 13, at a depth of 9 feet. Her address at the time of death of Wheeler Street (behind the Guildhall in central Cambridge).

Ada Mary Wright (1867‒68)

Ada Mary was born on 15 November 1867, daughter of William and Jane Elizabeth Wright, then of Free School Lane, Cambridge.

Ada Mary died on 25 February 1868 at the age of three months and ten days, and was buried on 2 March of that year in Mill Road Cemetery, in row XXIX of the St Edward parish area, in grave 13, at a depth of 8 feet.

William Wright (c.1817‒77)

William died on 6 August 1877 at the age of 60, and was buried on the 11th of that month in Mill Road Cemetery, in row XXIX of the St Edward parish area, in grave 13, at a depth of 8 feet. His address at the time of death was 6 Atlingworth Street, Brighton.
