William Crispin Turtle Wright (1867 – 5th May 1935)
William was the son of David and Keziah Wright, and was born in Cambridge where his father worked as a house painter and glazier. He married Elizabeth Stallon in 1888 when he was 21.
They had thirteen children, seven of which died in infancy. Daisy [1889 – ], Horace [1892 – ], Elsie [1895 -], Constance [1899-], Dolly [1902-], Gladys [1905 -]. The family lived firstly at 10 Elm Street where William was a house painter like his father, later in 1911 they are recorded as living at 7 Grant Place. In the 1920’s William and Elizabeth were living at 8 Granta Place, and in 1930 at 24 Little St Mary’s Lane. William died in 1935.
Elizabeth Wright (née Stallon) (1865 – 21 August 1935)
Elizabeth was known as Lizzie and was born in Trumpington. On the 1901 census she was recorded as being a church cleaner. Lizzie gave birth to 13 children, and lived at Elm Street and later Granta Place and died three months after her husband William aged 72 years.
