William Hopkin Wright (1862 – 1924)
William was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth and was baptised at St. Vigor’s Church, Fulbourn on 26 June 1862. He grew up at Rectory Farm, Fulbourn where his father farmed 534 acres and employed 26 people on the farm (1871). He married Edith Merrison Butler (1864-1948) in her home village of Barney, Norfolk on 2 November 1887.
The family lived at Ferndale, 104 Chesterton Road and William was described as a farmer, land agent and land valuer. He and Edith had twelve children: Elizabeth Butler (Betty) (1889-1947), Arthur John Butler (1890-1955), Francis Thomas (1891-), Dudley William (1892-1969), Cyril Frederick (1893-1980), Edith Mary (1894-), Margery Butler (1896-), Hilda Butler (1897-1898), Hylda Butler (1899-1969), Vera Butler (1900-1980), Charles Bernard (1902-1946) and Wifrid Hopkin (1907-). In 1911 they were living at Chesterton Road with a nursemaid, housemaid and cook. William and Edith later moved to live at The Cot, Grantchester Road and he died there aged 62 years old.

Hilda died at Ferndale, Chesterton Road aged 19 months old.
Edith Merrison Wright died in Kent in 1948.
