Ellen Dean (née Hurst) (1871 – 6 February 1929)
Ellen was born in Stetchworth, three miles south of Newmarket and was the daughter of agricultural labourer Thomas and his wife Mary Ann. She married Albert Dean on 22 September 1898 at St. Mary the Virgin Church, Great Abington and the couple had three children: Albert Edward Victor (1901-1906) , Muriel Mary (1904-1999) and Cyril Frank (1906-1986). They lived at 46 Bradmore Street (1901/1911) and Albert worked as a tram driver. Ellen died at 63 Bradmore Street aged 57 years old.
Albert James Dean (27 September 1874 – 22 March 1947)
Albert was the son of Thomas and Hannah (née Gotobed) and was born and raised in Fen Ditton. His father Thomas (1829-1888) was a farm labourer and aged 16 Albert was living with his widowed mother on the High Street, Fen Ditton and working as an errand boy. In 1939 he was still living at 63 Bradmore Street and was documented as being an omnibus driver. He died at Addenbrooke’s Hopsital aged 72 years old and was buried on 26 March 1947.
From Parish burial records it is known that Ellen and Albert’s son Albert was also buried in the Holy Trinity area of Mill Road Cemetery and is believed to have been buried in the same grave.
Albert Edward Victor Dean (1901 – August 1906)
Albert died at 46 Bradmore Street aged 5 years old and was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 23 August 1906.
