Frank farmed 20 acres in West Winch (1861) and the couple had at least seven children: Henry Edward (1853-1940), Elizabeth Harriett (1856-1934), Francis (1859-1879), Margaret Mary (1859-), Claxton John (1861-1943), William Philip (1863-1950) and Mary Anne (1865-). They later moved to nearby Wiggenhall St Germans where Frank died in July 1873. Mary continued to live in St Germans with sons Claxton and William, but then moved to live with her daughter Elizabeth and son in law Frederick in Cambridge.
